Ways to Get Involved

Become an active member of the Graduate School’s alumni community.

Join the Bank Street College Alumni Association Advisory Board

All alumni of the Bank Street Graduate School are automatic members of the Bank Street College Alumni Association (BSCAA) upon graduation. BSCAA leadership includes five elected officers and 20 to 30 Advisory Board members. There are four meetings held at Bank Street every year. Because you are a member of the Advisory Board, your ideas on the direction of BSCAA and its events and programs are welcome. Membership on the Advisory Board has minimal time requirements and all elected officers have prior service of two years or more as Advisory Board members.

If you are a Bank Street graduate interested in becoming an alumni leader, please plan to attend a BSCAA meeting so that you can meet the board members and learn more about current projects. After you attend the meeting, email alumni@bankstreet.edu to let us know if you are interested in joining.

Start a Local Alumni Group or Hold an Alumni Gathering

BSCAA is an international organization with alumni all over the world. To date, alumni have formed alumni groups and held alumni gatherings in California, Minneapolis, North Carolina, Illinois, New York, Washington, DC, and the tri-state area. The Alumni Relations Office is here to help you set up one of your own alumni groups or alumni gathering! Contact alumni@bankstreet.edu for more information.

Nominate Someone for an Alumni Award

Each year, we celebrate excellence in our alumni community by asking alumni and friends to nominate an outstanding educator to be considered for an award. Each award is presented to a nominee who carries out the mission, beliefs, philosophy, and practices of Bank Street College through their work. Get involved by nominating someone this year! Visit here for more information.

Refer a Student

As a Bank Street alum, you provide the one-on-one interaction, personal attention, and encouragement that can make the difference between a student in your community choosing Bank Street. Providing your perspective as a Bank Street graduate is one of the most important ways you can get involved as an alum. This allows Bank Street to keep preparing future leaders in progressive education. If you would like to know more about how you can volunteer as an admissions ambassador, email alumni@bankstreet.edu. Additionally, if you know of a student you would like the Admission Office to reach out to, please fill out the Refer a Student form
