Hosted by the BSCAA Social Justice Committee

Description:

Join us for an exploration of Black Excellence at the West Side YMCA through a special exhibit featuring artwork by children in the YMCA’s early childhood program. Guests will have the opportunity to hear from teens from the YMCA Teen Center, who will  share their experiences working with children on Black Excellence.

Attendees will be able to view and experience the exhibit and connect with other Bank Street community members over light refreshments.

We are grateful to our event host, Misha Paskar, GSE ’13, BSCAA Social Justice Committee member and West Side YMCA Director of Early Childhood, for making this event possible.

About the BSCAA Social Justice Committee

The Social Justice Committee was formed by Bank Street alumni to share interactive, practice-based lessons learned from the field with the Bank Street community. We engage in collective advocacy work in the world beyond Bank Street to promote educational equity and justice for every child/learner to establish a “community of we” in a shared pursuit of equity and justice.
