Kristen Kaelin is a course instructor at Bank Street, where she focuses on Childhood Special Education in the Teaching and Learning Department. Drawing on her experience as a special education teacher in New York City’s public schools, her work is rooted in inclusivity and empowerment for all learners. She is passionate about the intersection of special education and progressive education, and about centering the experiences of Black and brown students who are too often underserved at that intersection.
