A Bit About Me: I love living in New York City and try to take advantage of all the city has to offer, including utilizing the NYC Public Library Culture Pass to visit cultural institutions across all boroughs. There are also so many lovely parks and green spaces around the city that I enjoy as the backdrop for a run or picnicking with friends, like Inwood Hill Park, Astoria Park, and Prospect Park.
Why Bank Street: My introduction to Bank Street came in an unexpected but fitting place—the playground. As I got to know other parents, several mentioned being alumni, and it was clear how deeply their education influenced their understanding of children.
What really stood out to me—then and now—is the depth of knowledge Bank Street fosters, paired with a genuine sense of community. It’s more than just a place to learn; it’s a lifelong network grounded in equity, inquiry, and a shared drive to make meaningful change in the world.
Favorite Local Spot: After years of working in the Morningside neighborhood there are three places that I return to again and again. Samad’s Gourmet which has a variety of specialty foods and very tasty fresh Middle Eastern salads and dips. Community Food & Juice which features seasonal, local, and organic options – I particularly like their rice bowls. Pisticci Italian restaurant which is my special occasion go-to place for both a good atmosphere and delicious food.
Experience: I hold a Master of Science in Information & Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and English from Baldwin Wallace University. With over 15 years in higher education admissions leadership and more than 20 years in operations management, I’m passionate about guiding students as they pursue career transformation and meaningful, high-impact work.
