Edtpa Informational Workshops

This online workshop will outline the edTPA requirements. You will leave with a clear understanding of the process and a suggested timeline of activities. Patricipation in one of these information sessions is required to participate in the edTPA Support Workshop. (Fee is waived for matriculated students at Bank Street College.) *This synchronous workshop meets online Eastern Time. A computer with a high-speed internet connection is required. A microphone and video camera are highly recommended.

      Tara Kirton
      Tara Kirton, MSEd, is an instructor in the early childhood department at Bank Street College. She also works as a Special Education Itinerant Teacher in preschool settings, and she is a consultant in public schools and PreK Centers facilitating professional learning opportunities on a variety of topics. Previously, Tara worked at the 92nd Street Y Nursery School for 12 years in various capacities, including Head Teacher, Assistant Teacher, and Associate Director for the summer camp. Kirton holds an MSEd in Early Childhood Special and General Education from Bank Street College and an MA in Public Communications from Fordham University. Her BA is from the State University of New York at Albany in English. Tara is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Early Childhood Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.
