Annual Alumni of Color Reception
Reel Change: Alumni of Color Reimagining Education Through Film
Description:
Join us for our Annual Alumni of Color Reception as we spotlight three extraordinary alumni who are using film and media to challenge systems, elevate community voices, and reimagine what education can be.
Featuring:
- Antika Singh, GSE ’12, co-producer of the New York Emmy Award-nominated documentary The Third Rail, examining school segregation in New Jersey.
- Karen Baptiste, GSE ’12, director of the Emmy Award-winning documentary Preschool to Prison, which exposes how zero-tolerance school policies fuel the school-to-prison pipeline.
- Yasmin Chin Eisenhauer, SFC ’86, executive director of Amherst Cinema Arts Center and leader in innovative film and educational programming.
Together, these graduates represent the power of storytelling to shift narratives, influence policy, and build more just and equitable educational systems. Through conversation and community, we will explore how alumni of color are leading transformative change at the intersection of education, film, and cultural leadership.
Celebrate their impact, connect with fellow alumni, and be inspired by the stories shaping the future.
