Online Open House: General Education Programs
Description:
The General Education programs at Bank Street College are for those teachers and prospective teachers who wish to work with children in general education settings (including child care centers, public, charter, and independent schools).
For our Early Childhood General Education (birth-grade 2) and Childhood General Education (grades 1-6) programs, you can pursue your supervised fieldwork as a student teacher (where we place you in your settings) or as an Assistant, Associate, or Head Teacher (if you are already working in an appropriate classroom).
Our cross-age Early Childhood and Childhood General Education program allows you to receive two certifications in general education, birth through grade 6.
At this online open house, you’ll hear about the differences between our supervised fieldwork pathways, the curriculum, and admission into the program. We encourage you to come with plenty of questions!
