Why Children Go to the Nurse: The Search for a Safe Haven in School
Description:
The Safe & Sound Schools Conference is a day of collaboration and study of Emotionally Responsive Practice as part of the Community of Safe and Sound Schools Initiative. Through collaboration and study, the annual conference supports teachers, social workers, and administrators in elementary schools and early childhood settings develop a deep understanding of child development, the social and emotional foundations for learning, parent engagement, and mastery of supportive techniques for building safe and nurturing school communities.

Cost:
Early Bird Registration Fee (through September 30, 2018):
- School community (4–5 staff people): $1,200
- Enhanced school community (4–5 staff people plus two on-site visits): $3,200
- Individual: $250
Extended Registration Period Fee (October 1 through December 1, 2018):
- School community (4–5 staff people): $1,300
- Enhanced school community (4–5 staff people plus two on-site visits): $3,400
- Individual: $275
