When you apply for graduate school, you’re investing in your future and, in turn, the well-being of the students, families, and communities you serve. We understand that attending graduate school includes making a substantial financial commitment—but we want you to know that it may not be as much as it looks at first glance. We’re here to help you access the resources that can help fund your education.
Financial aid—including scholarships and federal grants you don’t have to pay back—can significantly reduce your financial obligation. As a graduate student, you also may have greater access to financial aid resources than you did as an undergraduate. The only way to know how much you can receive is to fill out the application and find out.
We encourage you to apply for financial aid at the same time you complete your admissions application. You’ll automatically be considered for both admission and financial aid (including scholarships), which will give you all the information you need to decide if you will start graduate school at Bank Street.
Our Office of Financial Aid administers almost $16 million in financial aid each year to our graduate students—and the majority of our students do receive financial aid, including $1.9 million in scholarships annually that cover up to 30 percent of tuition.
How to Apply for Financial Aid
You can complete our financial aid process in three steps. Our financial aid counselors will talk you through the results and answer any questions so you’re ready to make your decision about attending Bank Street. If you’re still unsure you can afford your program, we’ll walk you through an appeal process to see what we can do to improve your financial situation.
