Financial Aid

Step 1: Submit Your FAFSA

To apply for financial aid, including all Bank Street scholarships, as well as federal grants, work-study, and loans, you’ll need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

This form is free and it gives you access to the largest sources of financial aid. Bank Street requires it to determine your eligibility for federal and state aid, as well as for Bank Street-administered grants and scholarships. Your FAFSA results enable us to evaluate your financial needs and how much total aid you may be awarded. You’ll be asked to provide:

  • Financial information from the prior two years. (Keep in mind: Graduate students are considered “independent “students for FAFSA purposes.)
  • Bank Street’s school code: G02669 (G-ZERO-2669)

And, if you’re admitted to Bank Street, you’ll receive an email asking you to submit a Financial Aid Questionnaire, which will give us any additional information we need to finalize your Estimated Financial Aid Offer Letter.

In general, applications for financial aid are reviewed for eligibility based on the following criteria:

  • Offer of admission into your program
  • Minimum half-time enrollment
  • Submission of a FAFSA form

When to Apply

The FAFSA becomes available on the Federal Student Aid website annually toward the end of each calendar year. You’ll have to submit this form every year while you’re a student.

To be given maximum consideration for financial aid, we encourage you to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible. We recommend that you submit your admissions application and the FAFSA at the same time.

All parts of our financial aid offers are based on the information you report in your FAFSA. Only once we receive that data can we provide you with your Financial Aid Offer Letter.
