This year’s Educator Preparation Laboratory (EdPrepLab) Virtual Fall Forum invites attendees to imagine a world in which every child experiences positive opportunities for learning and development—opportunities through which a child can come to know who they are and discover the wide range of possibilities for what they can become. Imagine different types of learning settings in which those kinds of opportunities are also intentionally built and optimized, regardless of where a child lives or attends school. Imagine, too, that educators can identify each child’s talents, interests, and aspirations and build learning opportunities accordingly. This is not the world in which we currently live, but it is one that, together, we are all working to create. Given today’s political and global climate, this work seems more urgent and challenging than ever.

Our members-only Virtual Fall Forum will serve as a space for learning, connection, and reimagining our collective commitment toward preparing the teachers and leaders our nation desperately needs.

During the event, attendees will:

• Hear updates about member-driven, SoLD-aligned practice, policy, and research
• Engage in small-group discussions to share innovations and challenges in educator preparation in diverse contexts
• Build a deeper understanding of SoLD and how it can serve as a tool for advocacy and responsiveness in our present moment
• Create plans for action, collaboration, and forward momentum
