You’re invited to join Bank Street’s Office of Graduate Admissions on Wednesday, February 26 at 6:00 PM ET for our virtual Leadership in Math Information Session so you can learn more about our programs and our application process. Our Leadership in Mathematics Education program—one of the few programs in the nation that grounds preparation for school leadership in mathematics education and allows you to be eligible for your School Building Leader (SBL) license upon graduation.
Program highlights:
- Fully online 16-month program, starting this summer.
- Using inquiry-based, student-centered pedagogies appropriate to all learners, mathematics at Bank Street focuses on developing leaders who deeply understand mathematical concepts and how to teach all learners for conceptual understanding.
- Our progressive approach views teaching mathematics not as a series of strategies and formulas to memorize, but as a language used to conceptualize the world.
- Graduates are eligible for a New York State School Building Leader license at the end of the program (if you’re outside of New York, you can pursue certification in your home state at program completion).
