Clio Bodie

Adjunct Course Instructor

Clio began her teaching life in Philadelphia, PA through undergraduate work in a variety of classrooms ranging from preschool through sixth grade. She then enrolled in Bank Street College of Education to study Childhood Special and General Education, where she worked as an America Reads tutor and engaged in student teaching in both public and private NYC schools. Upon graduating, Clio spent five years teaching 4th grade as a special education teacher in an Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) class at P.S. 234 in downtown Manhattan before moving to teach 5th grade. In addition to her work with fifth graders and Bank Street students, Clio works as a Supplemental Special Education Teacher Support Service provider, providing at-home support for a young adult with multiple disabilities. Clio’s passion for instilling a love of learning in people of all ages with a range of learning styles and needs has been fostered and grown through her ongoing work with the Bank Street learning community.
