Description:
Alumni Tutoring Network meetings are open to all Bank Street Graduate School alumni, including working tutors and other educators who are considering entering the tutoring landscape. Come share your tutoring techniques with our support group of tutoring alumni! We encourage non-tutoring alumni interested in learning new information or networking opportunities to join us as well.

Liz will lead a discussion with Bank Street alumni tutors about what they find most challenging about tutoring and where those challenges lie. You’ll get feedback on how to structure sessions to maximize learning, partner with teachers and parents and manage parent expectations around student challenges, push students to tackle work they are resistant to doing, and build student confidence.
