Event Title:
Infancy Institute:
“Relationships that Heal: Choosing Connection over Control”

The Infancy Institute is an early childhood development conference that provides training and intensive workshops for professionals who work with infants and toddlers. We welcome caregivers, teachers, directors, trainers, home visitors, parents, early interventionists, developmental specialists, social workers, family child care providers, and others who support young children in a variety of settings.

This year’s Infancy Institute on June 20, 21, and 22, 2023 will be fully online. All workshops and keynote speeches will be recorded and available to all who are registered.

Our keynote speaker Deidre Quinlan will present “Attending to Attachment in Early Care: The Circle of Security.” Dr. Soyoung Park, Director of Programs in Early Childhood Special Education, Bank Street Graduate School of Education, will share this year’s featured presentation on “Letting Go of Control to Build Radical Communities of Care with Young Children.” Workshops about families, curriculum, development, infant mental health, and more will be offered throughout the three-day event. Additionally, a post-conference session—”The Bank Street Approach to Toddlers and Twos: Applying Theory to Practice”—will be available for Infancy Institute attendees (limit 25 people) on June 23 for an additional cost. This workshop will be led by Infancy Institute co-directors and Bank Street Graduate School of Education faculty members Margie Brickley and Yasmin Dorrian.
