Virtual Information Session | Learning and Engagement in Museums and Cultural Organizations Graduate Programs
Description:
We hope you’ll join our upcoming virtual information session on Monday, March 4, at 6:00 PM EST, to learn about our Learning and Engagement in Museums and Cultural Organizations (LEMCO) graduate program. You will hear from Program Director Brian Hogarth and representatives from the Admissions, Financial Aid, and Career Services.
Our LEMCO program is designed specifically for educators working in museums, science centers, historic sites, parks, zoos, aquariums, gardens, libraries, or any cultural institution. If you are looking to advance your career and refine your leadership skills, our program is for you. We highly encourage you to read this 2023 blog post, The Many Roles of Educators in Museum and Cultural Organizations, written by Program Director Brian Hogarth, to get a better understanding of the program.
As a graduate student in the LEMCO program, you’ll:
- keep your current job, and apply what you are learning directly to your job
- connect theory to practice every day
- be at the forefront of the ever-evolving field of cultural organization work
- embrace change through diversity, inclusion, and access
- work alongside experts in the field and learn from program alumni
- visit sites with peers in your cohort, building lifelong connections
- complete your program in two years, in a hybrid format
- attend classes online, and monthly weekend meet-ups in NYC
