[Virtual] Information Session: Leadership in Mathematics Education
Description:
Are you a teacher, academic coach, or administrator who wants to become a school leader with a deeper understanding of mathematics? Our newly redesigned Leadership in Mathematics Education program is one of the few in the nation that grounds preparation for school leadership in mathematics education.
This program is now a fully online 16-month program. Using inquiry-based, student-centered pedagogies appropriate to all learners, mathematics at Bank Street focuses on developing leaders who deeply understand mathematical concepts and how to teach all learners for conceptual understanding. Our progressive approach views teaching mathematics not as a series of strategies and formulas to memorize, but as a language used to conceptualize the world.
You’ll be eligible for a New York State School Building Leader license at the end of the program (if you’re outside of New York, you can pursue certification in your home state at program completion).
