Online Education Master’s Degrees

Advance Your Career with an Online Program from Bank Street

Bank Street’s 100 percent online coursework provides the flexibility you need to balance work and school. You will connect theories learned online to practice in real-world classroom settings, collaborate with peers, and be mentored by our faculty.

The Bank Street developmental-interaction approach promotes progressive, developmentally grounded education by recognizing that both children and adults learn best when they are actively engaged with materials, ideas, and people. Our teacher education programs prepare you to give young children the tools to learn with confidence, self-respect, and empathy. In our leadership programs, you’ll learn how to use the Bank Street approach to mentor adults to embrace new ideas and improve outcomes for students.

With this rigorous yet flexible learning experience, the qualifications you need are within reach. Whether it’s a master’s degree, a certification, or preparation for a state certification or license, Bank Street students develop the tools to positively impact students and start the process of transforming schools and communities.

Our Online Model

Virtual Coursework

All coursework takes place virtually and is designed to be immediately applicable to students’ professional settings. Classes emphasize the integration of theory and practice, equipping students with the tools to support equitable, effective teaching and leadership.

Supervised Fieldwork and Mentorship

In addition to online coursework, students participate in supervised fieldwork tailored to their professional goals. This real-world experience is supported by a core faculty advisor and an experienced mentor in the field. Fieldwork includes weekly conference group sessions, where cohorts of five to seven students form a professional learning community to reflect, collaborate, and grow their practice together.

Individual Advisors

Students meet regularly online with their core faculty advisor for one-on-one sessions. These meetings provide space for personalized reflection, feedback, and support, helping each student deepen their learning and navigate their unique professional journey.

By submitting your FAFSA early and applying for aid alongside your admission application, you can explore a wide range of scholarship opportunities tailored to your background and goals.

A Thoughtful Online Model
The Bank Street online model creates a sense of community. Online can be perfunctory, but that’s not what this is. We took our time launching our virtual model, making sure we maintained the essence of what a Bank Street education is.
