Beverly Logan

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Beverly Logan understands the importance of having an adult champion for children. It is that philosophy she takes on as the Executive Director for School Support and Operations for District 17. Dr. Logan understands the importance of making sure students have their basic needs met for them to be successful in academics. Her experience includes but is not limited to teaching grades 4-8, serving as a staff developer for teachers, and as an assistant principal. Dr. Logan took charge of PS 156K in Brownsville, Brooklyn where she served the school community as principal for 10 years. She led P.S. 156 as one of the first Community Schools in the New York City Department of Education.   Before becoming the Executive Director of Brooklyn South, Beverly was the Director of Students Services. Her commitment continues to shine in providing support for adults and children that will create a safe and nurturing environment for everyone to grow.
