New York City in the Winter

New York has so much to offer all year round and wintertime brings its own unique set of experiences thanks to all of the holiday cheer. However, when the temperature drops and the list of final assignments grows, it is easy to want to stay indoors buried under the covers (and books). Pause the Netflix and bundle up, here is a list of fun and budget friendly ideas to get you out of your apartment and enjoying the city!

Museum Hop

New York City is home to some of the most well-known museums in the world, many of which are free to enter or offer free admission on select days and times.

On Saturday evenings the Guggenheim Museum is pay-what-you-wish beginning at 5:45pm. Plan to arrive early, because the line tends to be long!

Take in a Show

Broadway, Off-Broadway, and off-off-Broadway offer some great entertainment and discounts if you know where to look.

I bought discount tickets to Kinky Boots using my student ID.

Visit the Parks

From Bryant Park to Prospect Park there is much fun to be had in parks all over New York during the Fall and Winter months, such as ice-skating, holiday shopping, and holiday lighting celebrations.
